On January 25th 2004, the Mars Rover 'Opportunity' landed on the surface of Mars to begin its 90 day research mission. 14 years later, Opportunity had outlasted its expected lifespan 57 times over and provided humanity with an immeasurable amount of images and data about Mars and our universe, before sending her final message on June 10th 2018: "My battery is low and it's getting dark".

This game is a short tribute to Opportunity created for the 2023 20 Second Game Jam.

You play as Exo-planet Rover Possibility, an exploration robot conducting the last twenty seconds of its mission on a distant planet as its battery finally runs out. Move your robot with a mouse click or tap on a touchscreen - see what you can discover!

A very short walking simulator featuring hand painted graphics.

There's a known bug with the game where clicking or tapping too rapidly can cause the game to restart with your battery already empty. I'm currently working on fixing this but in the meantime it can be fixed by refreshing the page if it happens.

Nice little interactive painting showcase! The base homage to the rover friend and a cool way to introduce story to the game! Well done, nice paintings! (Really dig the harsh canvas texture, one of my favorites)

20 seconds well spent! Love the idea and the hand painted images are excellent. The score is also perfect and adds to the overall experience, well done!
