LITTLE HOUSE
A downloadable game
Now available on Playdate Catalog!
Make yourself at home...
Waking up from an unknown dream you enter your house, only to find that everything is not as it should be. Now you must explore, solve surreal and challenging puzzles and encounter strange beings as you search for your house... inside your house!
A lighthearted, dream-inspired psychological horror/adventure game, proudly made in Pulp exclusively for Playdate. Contains spooky vibes, mild body horror and a few slight jumpscares.
Game, graphics and music all created by Adam Hopeless.
Special thanks to Sielo Sala, Ambientcloud, SunBlayz and squally6660 for help with testing.
The game uses the D-pad to move, the A button to interact with things and the B button to cancel. You will need to use the crank and the accelerometer at certain points; precision controls are not required.
If you get stuck at any point, there is now a spoiler-free walkthrough PDF you can download here!
Little House is made to be sideloaded and played on your Playdate, but if you don't have one yet, you can still play on your computer by following the steps below:
Windows/Mac/Linux:
Go to https://play.date/dev/ and download the Playdate SDK. Follow included setup instructions and open the Playdate Simulator.
Unzip the file Little_House_V.1.5.4.zip
Open the unzipped folder and you will see a folder called Little_House.pdx
Drag the Little_House.pdx folder onto the Playdate Simulator, or open it with From > Open in the Simulator window.
Enjoy!

Bought this on catalog but just came here to say how great I think this game is. Really interesting and creepy in a way I didn't think was possible with such limited tech.
Hope I get to see what you’re capable of as you develop your skills and get an actual budget to work with. Really great stuff, keep it up👍
Wow thank you so much! That's absolutely made my day, so glad you enjoyed it!
The best game I've ever played in my life
Hi praise, thank you!
Thanks for playing:)
Really solid horror adventure game! I had a great time exploring it and getting the first two endings. I’ll go back and try for the third again soon. Glad you provided a walkthrough too bc I would’ve never figured out the part that uses the playdate’s gyro functionality haha. I always forget it can do stuff like that.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate you playing it and taking the time to comment :)
The internal version number for the 1.4.0 download is still 1.3.9 btw, at least that's how the playdate sideload page sees it
Ah yes I forgot to update the version number in Pulp, the only change was a new title screen anyway. I've updated the file now. Thanks for spotting that!
Got ending B :D
The music and sound are my favorite qualities of the game. They build the atmosphere so well!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Im stuck in second building, second time you shrink,i can only go up in the room and left to water room, where too deep to go,i don't know, what to do(((
If you check around in the shallow water (near the top) you'll find a hidden object you can interact with that will let you progress :) Thanks for playing!
Thanks!!!
