Minor Update

First, thank you very much to everyone who played and commented on The Spearmen! We got some incredibly useful feedback which Adam has been using to make some improvements to the game. Now that the jam is over, we're able to upload a new version of the game that addresses a few of the issues we identified, listed below:

New control scheme - You now use the right mouse button to dodge instead of double clicking left. We hope this will make the movement a bit more intuitive and improve the feeling of playing.

Minor bug fix - the bug that caused the game to freeze if you take Menulis's deal too many times has been fixed so you can now accept the deal every time and still play the end of the game. 

Very minor fix - stopped the first boss from being visible on screen earlier than he's supposed to be.

Downloadable version - we now have a version you can download. Currently this is only available for Windows users, and plays in a Microsoft Edge Webviewer.

We're still working on some other issues that have come up: some players reported the save and load not working correctly. This is tricky to fix as we haven't been able to replicate it, but will keep looking into it. It is also possible to get a game over on the final boss even though you appear to still have Spearmen left on screen. Adam is still working on sorting this.

We hope to have a further release with more polish (and maybe even some more content!) later this year.
